Dr. Mark Ryan Girton is a Clinical Assistant Professor and laboratory director at the University of Michigan, specializing in hematopathology and clinical chemistry. He oversees technical operations for hematology and flow cytometry labs while maintaining board certifications in both clinical pathology and chemistry. After earning his medical degree from Texas Tech, he completed his residency and dual fellowships at the University of Virginia. Beyond his clinical and research work in diagnostics and biomarkers, he is an active medical educator and the author of a children’s book focused on laboratory medicine.
