Dr. Oyewale (Wale) Shiyanbola is a board-certified Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Michigan Health. After earning his medical degree from the University of Ibadan and a PhD in Cancer Epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, he completed his residency training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. He further specialized through advanced fellowships in surgical pathology and gastrointestinal pathology at Stanford University. His clinical practice focuses on anatomic and clinical pathology, while his extensive research background includes published studies on cancer risk assessment, surgical trends in breast cancer treatment, and rare gastrointestinal tumors. He currently serves the University of Michigan Department of Pathology in Ann Arbor.
