Dr. Stephanie (Steph) Skala received a B.S. in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego (2009), and an M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (2014). She completed residency training at the University of Michigan (UM) from 2014-2018 and won the Murray R. (Gus) Abell, M.D. Award for Outstanding Resident in Anatomic Pathology. In 2019, she completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Pathology at UM. In July 2019, Dr. Skala joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor. She is currently the director of the residency’s Introduction to Surgical Pathology rotation.
