Dr. Xiaoming (Mindy) Wang is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Michigan, where she serves within the Division of Diagnostic Genetics and Genomics. Her professional work centers on the clinical application of advanced genomic technologies, including next-generation sequencing, optical genome mapping, and fluorescence in situ hybridization, to diagnose and manage solid tumors and hematological malignancies.
Before her faculty appointment, Dr. Wang completed a Laboratory Genetics and Genomics fellowship at Michigan Medicine in 2025 and earned her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California. Her career has spanned both industry and academia, including a tenure as a Research Investigator at the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology, where she focused on RNA biology and the development of clinical biomarkers for genitourinary cancers.
